This is official post from TechMaish Admin for removing footer link from a blog using TechMaish Theme. If you are using TechMaish theme on your blog, now you can remove the footer link from your blog. OR you can add your own link in the footer.
The reason for this removal is that after Google Penguin update footer links are no more effective and i want to giveaway the theme free without the footer link to all the users. I will still provide support for the Theme and new version will be available soon with new and improved features.
How to Remove Footer Link from TechMaish Theme?
1:- Go to Dashboard>Appearance>Editor
2:- Locate the file footer.php file on the right side of the Editor page.
3:- Now locate the code as highlighted in the below screen shot.

4:- Only remove the code which is highlighted in the Red color and click on the "Update File" button located at bottom left side of the page.
Now the footer link is removed from your blog. Enjoy the theme and happy new year 2013.
